What Kind of Church is Breath of God International Outreach Church?
We are a church under the Breath of God International Outreach Ministry in Newport, North Carolina and the Evangel Fellowship International Ministry in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
When you experience Breath of God International Outreach Church, you will find that we are simple, (no complicated organization structure) but there is order, leadership and ministries. We are real, we are faithful, we are prayerful and we are humble.
We believe in the transforming power in heart felt worship that touches all of our senses. When people gather together and worship they are connecting with God. We believe in the continuous healthy relationship with the Lord and people. There is a process of spiritual growth as we grow closer to God.
We believe in whole-life spirituality that our faith is not confined to a building or a day of the week. We are excited with what the Lord has done in our lives and desire to share the wonderful message of the Lord's love, salvation, promises and power to the world.
Salvation is more than a "ticket to heaven", God's desire is for us to know that we are not just saved from death and hell but saved for the incredible adventure of being a part of God's work here and now.
Breath of God International Outreach Church is called to be a part of the Body of Christ (Spiritually adventurous people) who actually believe in changing the world through Jesus Christ and have a wonderful time doing it. We not only are reaching the people in this community and region but also in the Nations. We live to make Jesus Famous in example of our lives and ushering His presence into every place we go.
Breath of God International Outreach is a fivefold ministry bringing together the Body of Christ into the fullness of the Lord's calling within them. We are a praying church that believes in the importance of seeking the Lord's direction both in the church and in our lives.

What is the Worship like at Breath of God International Outreach Church?
We started our New Bern Services July 10, 2007, and this is what we desire for Praise and Worship. Praise and Worship is not about a style or tradition it is from the heart of you to the heart of God. We try to avoid any style, because each style of worship has a richness to be drawn from. We have moved from narrow confines of "traditional or contemporary" styles of worship since both of them are locked into certain assumptions about modern thinking. We believe that worship should involve all the senses, and again not be a technique or a certain style. Worship is more than music on Sunday, worship is the way we live our lives to bless God.
We believe that worship should be genuine and meaningful. So sometime worship is very upbeat and sometimes it is very reflective. You will hear some of the great hymns of the church used in updated forms along with some powerful contemporary music of today. We use drama, music, video and Word of God in our Praise and Worship along with messages, "Sermons" that are about applying God's and love to our lives today. We are drawing into deep worship ushering in the tangible Presence of God.

Are women allowed to have leadership positions in Breath of God International Outreach Ministries Church?
Yes! We believe what the Bible says that, "In Christ there is neither male or female." Many women held important leadership positions in the Bible. We encourage all believers' men and women to seek their ministry and serve in their calling of the Lord. We believe that every believer has a calling and destiny given by the Lord.
This is not just a theory at Breath of God International Outreach Ministries, as we have leadership positions held by women that are doing powerful life changing impact for the Lord in their ministries both in Breath of God International Outreach Ministry as well as in the churches they serve. We are seeing many powerful fruit from their ministries.

What about Spiritual Gifts?
We believe that God gives believers all kinds of gifts and talents to use and that the Body of Christ should use those gifts to honor God and bless others. 1 Corinthians 12 speaks of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We also believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. There is order and not confusion when the gifts of the Holy Spirit are operating. No gifts are lifted above others and the greatest gift is love 1 Corinthians 13.
We believe in the five fold ministry that the Lord appoints some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelist, and some pastors and teachers for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying (building up) of the body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-16) This fivefold ministry is designed from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. Ephesians 4:16.

Are you a real church, if you do not have your own building?
In the Bible the word church always applies to people not buildings. "Church" means "those who have been called out". 1 Corinthians 3:9-17; 1 Corinthians 6 :19; 2 Corinthians 6:16.

The building, a church should be a means for the Body of Christ (church) to fulfill their destiny. Sure a permanent building can assist effective ministry to take place and we are praying to have our own building when the Lord leads. But until the Lord sees fit for that to happen, we will focus on building relationships with people, teaching, worship and have ministry where the Lord provides.

What if I've never confessed my faith or been baptized, what do I do?
Talk to Ron or Brenda or any of the Breath of God International Outreach Staff and they will show you how to become a Christian. Becoming a Christian is not hard, repent (ask for forgiveness to the Lord) of your sins, acknowledge that Jesus is the son of God, died on the cross for your sins and rose again in the third day, proclaim Jesus your Savior and we will baptize you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Then we celebrate you as a Child of the Lord and a part of the Body of Christ.
